Tunnel drilling machine is suitable for indoor use with complete roof without breaking, no quicksand and no support. Drilling in different angles of 360° in the roadway has different requirements for chamber size.

1. Horizontal forward drilling, the chamber requirements are not less than: 2 meters high x 2 meters wide, preferably not less than: 2 meters high x 2.5 meters wide.

2. Horizontal horizontal drilling, the chamber requirements are not less than: 2 meters high x 4 meters wide.

3 Vertical Angle drilling, the chamber requirements are not less than: height 3.5 meters x 2 meters wide, preferably not less than 4 meters x 2.5 meters wide.

4. The upper oblique or lower oblique azimuth hole shall extend the size of not less than 4 meters from the hole opening along the azimuth of the drilling hole, and the width shall not be less than 2.5 meters. Assuming that the Angle between the azimuth and the horizontal of the drilling hole is 60°, then the chamber height H=4sin60°=3.47 meters. Borehole azimuth and horizontal Angle is 30°, then the chamber height H=4sin30°=2 meters.

The setting of the size of the chamber, on the one hand, we should consider the solidity and safety of the roof and bottom plate, on the other hand, we should also consider the size of the coring drill tool, which is convenient for the rope core lifting, and also consider the safe distance between the personnel and the machine when the machine is rotating drilling to ensure the smooth construction.
